Can you Sync Workers with Plexxis?

Learn how to sync workers from Plexxis into SmartBarrel using the Plexxis integration.

Worker Sync

The Plexxis V2 integration allows you to import your workes from Plexxis directly into SmartBarrel. Plexxis is the source of truth for your worker directory when using this integration — worker data flows one way, from Plexxis into SmartBarrel.

When syncing a worker, SmartBarrel will pull the following fields from Plexxis:

Workers missing a required field — name or phone number — will not be synced and will appear as warnings in the sync log.

 

Navigating to Worker Sync

To access the Worker Sync, navigate to Integrations > Plexxis V2 and click the menu icon (≡) in the upper right corner. Select Workers from the menu.

 

Sync Settings

In the upper right corner of the Workers page you will find the following settings:

  • AutoSync — When enabled, SmartBarrel will automatically sync workers from Plexxis on a recurring schedule. This is the easiest way to keep your worker roster up to date without manual intervention.
  • Unlock Fields — By default, any fields mapped from Plexxis cannot be edited directly in SmartBarrel. Enabling this setting unlocks those fields, allowing manual edits in SmartBarrel for the fields above. Only enable this if you intentionally want SmartBarrel edits to take precedence over Plexxis data.

 

Syncing Workers

Once you have configured your settings, click Sync Workers to begin the sync. This process may take some time depending on the size of your worker list. Once a worker is synced, any updates made to their profile in Plexxis will be reflected in SmartBarrel after the next worker sync.

 

Worker Sync Logs

The Workers page displays a log of all manual and automatic syncs that have been completed. Each log entry shows the date, status, number of synced workers out of the total available, and who triggered the sync. Click Download on any log entry to export a detailed CSV file showing which workers were successfully synced and the reasons any workers could not be synced.

Common reasons a worker may not sync include:

  • Missing phone number — the worker does not have a phone number recorded in Plexxis.
  • Phone number already in use — the phone number is already associated with another worker profile in SmartBarrel.
