How do I configure the Viewpoint Vista Integration?

This article highlights all of the settings of the integration, what they do, and where they are.

Accessing Integration Settings

• Navigate to the Integrations section.

• Click on the Viewpoint Vista logo to load the list of jobs.

• The hamburger menu in the top right of the integration card will show you all of the pages for this integration

Company Level Settings

• Access settings via the Settings option in the upper right hamburger menu of the integration.

• Cost Types for Phase Code Sync

  • Choose which cost types of your phase codes you want to sync from Vista

    • Example: Enter "1" to sync Labor Phase Codes

  • Note: Only cost types listed here will transfer over. Phase codes without the entered cost types will not be synced.

• Employee Sync Settings

  • Block Synced Fields

    • This setting is enabled by default. It will block any field that is mapped to Vista from being modified in SmartBarrel.
  • Reset to default on first sync or re-hire
    
    • If enabled, synced employees will reset to the default app settings in the section below
    • If disabled, the worker sync will not modify the workers app settings

• • Default app settings

    • Enable Mobile App: Controls if a worker can see projects and punch-in on the mobile app

      • Enable Work Summary: Controls if workers can submit work summaries from the app
      • Enable Incident:Controls if workers can submit incidents from the app
      • Enable Toolbox Talk: Controls if workers can submit toolbox talks from the app
  • Mapping Companies
    
    • Company drop-down:  Select the contractor in SmartBarrel that should be mapped to the respective company in Vista
    • Sync Projects: When enabled, we will bring jobs and cost codes from the selected Vista Company and make them available for syncs.
    • Sync Workers: When enabled, we will sync the PR Employees from the Vista company and add them to the SmartBarrel contractor from this section.

• Start Work Weekday

  • Select the day of the week that starts your weekly pay periods in Vista. (e.g., select Monday for a Monday-Sunday pay period).

• Payroll End Date

  • Specify payroll end date for time card batches.

Worker Sync Settings

• Auto Sync

  • Enable auto sync for hourly worker updates.

  • If disabled, manual syncing is required.

Project Level Settings

• Access project settings by clicking the gear on the integration banner in your project or by navigating to the integration projects page and clicking edit on the desired project. 

• Shift Approval

  • Option to send only approved shifts to the timecard in Vista.

• Cost Code Sync

  • Enable auto-sync for cost codes or opt for manual syncing.
