How do you Sync Cost Codes with Plexxis?

Learn how to import and manage cost codes from Plexxis into SmartBarrel using the Plexxis integration.

Cost Code Sync

The Plexxis V2 integration allows you to import cost codes from Plexxis into a SmartBarrel project. Cost codes are used to track labour against specific activities on a project and are required before timesheets can be synced back to Plexxis.

Cost codes are imported in the following format:

  • Without Subjobs: Subsection.ActivityCode 
  • With Subjobs: SubJob.Subsection.ActivityCode 

If your project uses subjobs, make sure your Subjob Sync is completed before running a Cost Code Sync. See the Subjob Sync article for more details.

Triggering a Cost Code Sync

To manually trigger a Cost Code Sync, navigate to the project in SmartBarrel and click Sync Cost Codes on the Plexxis integration card.

You can also enable Auto Sync Cost Codes in the project settings to have cost codes sync automatically on a recurring schedule, keeping your project's cost code list up to date without manual intervention.

Cost Code Sync Logs

All Cost Code Sync activity is recorded in the integration logs. Navigate to Integrations > Plexxis V2 > Logs to view them. Cost Code Sync entries will show the Action as Cost Code Sync and the Timesheet Date column will display a dash. Click Download on any log entry to export the detailed log file.
