How do you Sync Subjobs with Plexxis?

Subjob Sync

The Plexxis V2 integration allows you to take any Plexxis job and sync it as a subjob under a SmartBarrel project. This is useful when multiple Plexxis jobs are being tracked under a single SmartBarrel project and device — for example, when different jobs are being performed at the same site and you want all time captured in one place.

Once a job is synced as a subjob, its relationship to the parent project is reflected in the Subjobs table within the integration settings and through the cost code structure when a Cost Code Sync is performed.

When a Cost Code Sync is performed after syncing subjobs, cost codes will be imported in the following format:

SubJob.Subsection.Activity (e.g., PJ10001.FL1.09-0001)

For this reason, it is important to complete your Subjob Sync before running a Cost Code Sync on the project. See the Cost Code Sync article for more details.

Navigating to Subjob Sync

Navigate to Integrations > Plexxis V2 > Projects and click Edit on the project you want to manage. The Subjobs table is located below the Project Settings section and displays all available subjobs with their Number, Name, and Status.

Syncing Subjobs

To sync one or more subjobs:

1. Use the Search Subjobs field to find specific subjobs if needed.
2. Select one or more subjobs using the checkboxes on the left side of the table.
3. Click Sync Selected to sync the selected subjobs.

Each subjob will display a Not Synced or Synced status badge once the process is complete.

Unsyncing a Subjob

If you need to remove a subjob from SmartBarrel, click the Unsync button on the subjob row. Please note that unsyncing a subjob will deactivate all cost codes associated with that subjob in SmartBarrel.
