How do I assign different locations to cost codes?

This article provides a step-by-step guide on how to create new locations and assign cost codes to multiple locations within a project.

This feature is useful in situations when:

  • There are several locations associated with the same project.

  • Assign different cost codes for each location.

Things to Consider:

  • Only users with "Admin" and "Project Admin" permissions can create/add new locations.
  • Ensure that the "Edit Productivity" setting is on to have access to edit the productivity section in the timesheet.
  • All locations need to be active and set up to be able to see them in the location field of the productivity timesheet.

To create new locations:

Step 1. Go to the project settings and select "Locations." 

 

Step 2. Click the (+) icon to add a new location.

 

Step 3. Complete all required fields and then click the "Save" button.

 

To assign location and cost codes:

Step 4. Navigate to the "Productivity" tab under the Timesheet section and assign the appropriate location and cost codes as necessary.

Tip: To add a new row, click (+) icon next to the comment cells.

If you need to remove a row, click (-) and adjust hours.
