# How do I migrate an existing shift to another project?

## In this article, you will learn how to migrate an existing shift to a different project from the timesheet section.

**Things to consider:**

- Only unapproved shifts can be migrated.
- Ensure the destination project falls within the 1,000-mile radius filter to appear in the list.

**Steps to Migrate a Shift:**

Step 1. Find the original shift you want to migrate, click on the three-dot icon at the end of the row, and select **"Migrate Shift"**

Step 2. Select a project to migrate.

From the dropdown list, choose the project to which you want to migrate the shift.

Tip: Verify the distance range, as the filter will only display projects within the selected distance.
