This article explains the steps for transferring a SmartBarrel device from one project to another project.
This feature is useful in the following scenarios:
- When a project has been finished, you may need to relocate devices to a different job or team.
- When starting a new project, you may need to add additional devices.
- When an existing device fails, you may need to add a provisional one.
Things to Consider:
- This feature is exclusively available to users with admin permissions.
- There is no limit to the amount of the transfers or devices that can be added to a project.
Steps to Transfer a Device:
Step 1. Navigate to the left menu and click on the "Devices" tab.
Step 2. Select the device number that you wish to transfer.
Tip: To quickly locate devices, enter the project name or device number in the search fields at the top of the page.
Step 3. Check the box next to the device, then click on the "Move" button.
Step 4. Choose the project you want to move the device to, and click on "Confirm."
